Finding your way around the library:
SU staff and registered students
The various client categories may borrow and renew items, reserve items on loan to other clients and request material not available in the collections of the SU Library and Information Service.
All staff members and registered students of SU are automatically members with borrowing privileges at all libraries of the SU Library and Information Service.
The following clients are also eligible for borrowing privileges:
Staff of affiliated hospitals:Staff of the Provincial Administration of the Western Cape (PAWC), affiliated with the Tygerberg and Stikland hospitals, including radiologists, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, general practitioners and nursing staff; lecturers of the Western Province Nursing College; staff of Karl Bremer Hospital.
Ukwanda Clinical Outreach: Designated professional health care staff assisting students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences working in communities which form part of Ukwanda Clinical Outreach.
Contact us to make arrangements for membership and access to the library after hours.
This membership provides on-campus services only, including lending privileges of 3 books for 2 weeks.
Elective students:Visit the information desk in the library to register as a member to enable use of library services.
