The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a database maintained by Lund University, which lists open access journal titles. This is the most comprehensive and trusted list of open access journal titles.

JANE
The Journal/Author Name Estimator provides guidance to authors to decide on which journal title to publish with, assist with finding relevant citations applicable to their papers, and also assist editors of journal titles to find appropriate reviewers.

JISC
JISC champions the use of digital technology to ensure the UK maintains its world-class standard in research, teaching and learning. A report on open access from JISC may be found at http://ie-repository.jisc.ac.uk/442/.

Journal Citation Reports - ISI (for impact factors)
Establish the Thomson Reuters impact factor of a journal title. To have a journal impact factor assigned to a journal, please follow the documented procedure.

MDPI​
Stellenbosch University has joined the Institutional Membership Programme of MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute), an academic open-access publisher. In terms of the membership programme, corresponding authors associated with the University will receive a 10% discount on MDPI’s Article Processing Charges.
