The presentation prioritises the causal factors that can facilitate or inhibit the power of decoloniality as a practice and method within the contexts of Indigenous reality, knowledge, and emancipation. It argues that embodying decoloniality activates emergent causal factors (power mechanisms) of the body: hands and feet (agency), mind (reflexivity), and heart (spirituality). It illustrates, through contextual examples and texts, how and why the power mechanisms of the body can facilitate or inhibit processes and outcomes of deep transformation across domains of reality (the empirical, actual, and real) and social order (the biological, physical, and natural).</div></div><div><span><a href="https://sun.ac.za.libcal.com/event/14529755" target="_blank"><img src="/SiteCollectionImages/general/Book%20now.png" alt="Watch online" style="margin:10px 0px;width:115px;" /></a></span> </div><br><br><div><span style="color:#60223b;"><strong style="color:#60223b;"><span style="color:#60223b;">Impact of copyright and trademark use before, during and after the research process</span></strong></span><div><strong>Presenter: </strong>Carol Kat & Gert van Deventer</div><div><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><p><strong>Time</strong>: 10:30 - 11:30<br></p>Copyright and trademark laws play a critical role throughout the research lifecycle—from the initial planning phase to the dissemination of final outputs. In conducting research, it is critical for scholars not to fall foul copyright laws. Proper permissions and licensing agreements must be secured to avoid infringement and ensure ethical use. This session will delve on how researchers can avoid infringing copyrights and trademark laws before, during and after the research process.<p><a href="https://sun.ac.za.libcal.com/event/14529760" target="_blank"><img src="/SiteCollectionImages/general/Book%20now.png" alt="Watch online" style="margin:10px 0px;width:115px;" /></a> </p></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></div><br></div><div><div><span style="color:#60223b;"><strong style="color:#60223b;"><span style="color:#60223b;">Literature reviews</span></strong></span><div><strong>Presenter: </strong>Kirchner van Deventer<br></div><div><span><span><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><span data-np-autofill-form-type="identity" data-np-checked="1" data-np-watching="1"><p><strong>Time</strong>: 10:00 - 11:00<br></p></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span>A literature review is a survey of scholarly sources on a specific topic.
