SU staff and registered students
The various client categories may borrow and renew items, reserve items on loan to other clients and request material not available in the collections of the SU Library and Information Service.
All staff members and registered students of Stellenbosch University are automatically members with borrowing privileges at all libraries of the SU Library and Information Service.
Borrowing privileges:
Undergraduates (Music): 15 items, 2 weeks
Postgraduates (Music): 20 items, 4 weeks
Academic staff (Music): 30 items, 3 months
Off-campus students: 15 items, 2 months
Non-paying secondary clients: 3 items, 2 weeks
Paying clients: 3 items, 2 weeks
Alumni: 3 items, 2 weeks
Reference material, material from the special collections (
DOMUS
) and bound journal titles may be used in the library only.
Short loan items may be borrowed for three hours or overnight - to be returned by 09:00 the next morning.
Borrowing privileges for current journal titles and audio-visual material are restricted to academic staff of the Department of Music and Africa Open Institute. Audio-visual equipment for listening and viewing are available in the Music Library. Earphones are issued at the lending desk.

Kliënte kan materiaal uitneem en hernu, materiaal wat reeds aan ander kliënte uitgereik is, bespreek, en materiaal wat nie in die versamelings van die US Biblioteek- en Inligtingsdiens is nie, van ander biblioteke laat aanvra.
US personeel en geregistreerde studente van die Universiteit Stellenbosch is outomaties lede van alle biblioteke van die US Biblioteek-en Inligtingsdiens.
Uitleenvoorregte:
Voorgraads (Musiek): 15 items, 2 weke
Nagraads (Musiek): 20 items, 4 weke
Akademiese personeel (Musiek): 30 items, 3 maande
Afkampusstudente: 15 items, 2 maande
Nie-betalende sekondêre kliënte: 3 items, 2 weke
Betalende kliënte: 3 items, 2 weke
Alumni: 3 items, 2 weke
Naslaanmateriaal, materiaal uit die spesiale versamelings (
DOMUS
) en gebonde tydskriftitels mag slegs in die biblioteek gebruik word.
Reserwemateriaal mag vir tydperke van drie uur of oornag uitgeneem word - vir terugbesorging voor 9:00 die volgende oggend.
Uitleenvoorregte vir los tydskrifnommers en oudiovisuele items is beperk tot akademiese personeel van die Departement Musiek en Africa Open Institute. Oudiovisuele toerusting vir beluistering en die kyk van videomateriaal is beskikbaar in die Musiekbiblioteek. Oorfone is by die uitleentoonbank beskikbaar.
