Library Research Week 2016
The Library and Information Service presented its fourth Library Research Week this year from 25 - 29 July 2016. The overarching theme for the week was “Fine-tuning your research”. The aim of the event was to develop the research skills of emerging Stellenbosch University researchers and postgraduate students so as to equip them with practical knowledge of the systematic literature review, copyright matters, making them aware of the importance of their research footprint and of engaging the public in their research. Seasoned researchers and their specific needs were also taken into account. The programme included the following sub-themes: • Back to Basics • Maximising your Research Footprint • Research Communication • Unique Research Collections Unlocked. The programme also included daily guided tours to unique research collections in our Africana and Special Collections.
The launch of Library Research Week, the social hours and presentations can be accessed via the Research Week webpage.
