Library Service's unique Forestry database
The Library Service is pleased to announce that its unique forestry pamphlet collection has been made available in the Forestry database that can be accessed via MagNet.
Forestry is a bibliographic database that covers items published in as early as the late 1800's up to the present and holds more than 110 000 entries that is continuously being supplemented. The database includes publications of forestry, wood science and conservation ecology research institutes in the USA, South America, Europe, Australasia and certain countries of Eastern Europe; publications of all major South African Forestry and Forestry related institutes and companies; a complete set of reports of the South African Department of Forestry and proceedings of major international and national forestry conferences.
Students and researchers who wish to make use of this unique collection can access Forestry via Magnet and obtain the location of relevant documents in order to retrieve them from the Forestry Library. Photocopies can be made at 30c per page.
