An exhibition in the JS Gericke Library with the theme
"1994 to 2004: Libraries in a decade of democracy" in the open area near the
photocopy department. Another smaller
exhibition in front of the Special Collections department in the JS Gericke
Library will focus on the literature of the past decade. |
Clients will receive individual training in the
use of self help services at a separate desk in the JS Gericke Library (left
of the self check-out unit). These services include self check-out, renewals,
book reservations,
prerequests, guide to the library catalogue and information literacy.
A gift (lanyard) will be handed out to everyone
who completes the training.
Empowerment can be seen as an outcome of
democracy - therefore this initiative. |
