. A letter of introduction from the home library and appropriate identification are required.
Access
Visitors (such as CHELSA members) do not have walk-in access to the libraries. They may however contact

Visitors who qualify for lending privileges may use the
Request a Book for Pickup
service.
During the 1st exam period the SU Library is accessible for SU staff, SU students, CHELSA borrowers. Alumni and other visitors with borrowing privileges and an appointment only. Additional identification needed is a barcoded lending card for the current year.

Number of loans: 6 items
Borrowing period: 14 days per item
Renewals
: 2 per item (within maximum renewal period of 42 days) unless someone else has requested it.

No internet and wireless access is available to CHELSA members in any of the libraries. Internet and wireless access is limited to Stellenbosch University staff and students registered on the University network.
