The Documentation Centre for Music (DOMUS) is the Special Collections Division of the Music Library which is situated on the Stellenbosch campus in the
Konservatorium
. The Music Library is one of five branch libraries of the Library and Information Service, Stellenbosch University. Domus holds a substantial amount of rare and valuable collections of musicologists, musicians, music institutions and societies. These collections contain various formats, which include books, documents, photographs, music manuscripts, sound recordings and other materials. Acquisitions include donations and bequests and are mostly of South African importance, yet also of international significance.
Primarily, the aim of DOMUS is the acquisition and preservation of rare materials representing South African demography, and to create access for research on rare South African music materials.

Die Dokumentasiesentrum vir Musiek (DOMUS) is die Spesiale Versamelings Afdeling van die Musiekbiblioteek wat geleë is in die
Konservatorium
op die Stellenboschkampus. Die Musiekbiblioteek is een van vyf takbiblioteke van die Biblioteek- en Inligtingsdiens, Universiteit Stellenbosch. DOMUS bevat 'n aansienlike hoeveelheid seldsame en waardevolle versamelings van musieknavorsers, musici, musiekinstellings en -verenigings. Hierdie versamelings bestaan uit verskeie formate soos boeke, dokumente, foto's, manuskripte, klankopnames en ander materiaal. Dit word bekom deur middel van bemakings en skenkings en is meestal van Suid-Afrikaanse belang, ook in 'n internasionale konteks.
Die doel van DOMUS is hoofsaaklik die versameling en bewaring van skaars materiale verteenwoordigend van die Suid-Afrikaanse demografie en om toegang te verleen tot navorsing op hierdie belangrike versamelings.
