It is now possible to submit a query to a librarian seven days a week, any time of the day or night.  Subject and branch librarians are committed to respond to your questions as soon as possible.  Simply click on Ask a Librarian where it appears on the library homepage or the library catalogue and complete the short enquiry form.  Feel free to consult the First Time Users Guide for examples of questions and usage hints.

The Library Service provides this service by subscribing to QuestionPoint, a web-based system developed by the Library of Congress and Online Computer Library Centre (OCLC).

An important advantage of QuestionPoint is that questions and answers are stored in a so- called KnowledgeBase for future use, but be assured that the system does not record any information about the questioner – confidentiality is given high priority!
