A
good time to do research in the JS Gericke Library during the week
seems to be after hours.
This is because the availability of computers in the
Library increases substantially between 19:00 and closing time at
22:00.
This is in stark contrast to the daytime use that is
often characterised by students queuing for available computers.
So, to avoid the queues and normal buzz
of daytime activity, come and experience a quieter Library in the
evening: 19:00 - 22:00!
The JS Gericke Library has two main
public computer areas: one on the upper level and one on the lower
level. The computers in these areas provide access to the
library catalogue as well as to numerous databases to which the
Library subscribe.
Internet searching on these computers is
restricted in favour of the subsription databases.
