Presenter: Sizwe Ngcobo

Time: 14:00 - 15:00

Have you have ever gotten halfway through a research project and thought “why didn’t I write down that information?” or “where did I put that file?” then you could benefit from this Library Research Week session on ‘Create your data management plan with SunDMP’. A data management plan is a document that describes what a researcher plans to do with research data before, during and after a project. This helps ensure that your data  is adequately managed, easier to find, easier to understand, less likely to be lost, and more likely to be usable during the active stages of your research project or years later.

The presentation will highlight information on RDM components, practices, procedures, and regulations that govern the management of research data at SU, as well as available the tool (SunDMP) that can used by researchers create data management plans.
