The visualisation of your data assists the human brain to understand the
data better and it makes it easier for a researcher to detect patterns, trends
and outliers in his/her research data. This presentation will include some
basic principles about data visualisation from planning your visualisation to
choosing the correct visualisation type for your data. It will also give a
short overview of tools and software available for data visualisation.

Anxiety and other social pressures can affect researchers. There are
many pressures that a researcher and postgraduate student could face including
family, work and the race to meet submission deadlines. This presentation will
talk about some of the strategies that researchers and postgraduate students can
use to reduce chances of anxiety.
