If you have the details for the item/s you need, use this online request form to submit a request for items that are not available at the SU libraries. This service is available to SU students and staff only.

Important
  • See instructions on how to find articles in the Find, access and use information guide; OR contact your faculty librarian if you need assistance with determining the availability of items at the SU libraries before you submit an interlibrary loan request.
  • National interlibrary loans are free of charge, but as of 1 August 2025, international requests may involve cost. You will be informed by e-mail if this applies to your request before we request the document. For costs, contact details and more, see Interlibrary loans.
  • SU Libraries will not request books that are in our collection, but on loan to another client or available for in-library use only. If clients cannot wait for the items to become available, they are welcome to request the book and cover the courier cost themselves.
  • Ensure you select the library you want the item to be sent to at "Pickup location".

  • You will be notified by e-mail when the item is available for collection.

Gebruik hierdie aanlyn aanvraagvorm om items aan te vra wat nie by die US-biblioteke beskikbaar is nie en waarvoor jy die besonderhede het. Hierdie diens is slegs vir US-studente en -personeel beskikbaar.

Belangrik
  • Sien aanwysings oor hoe om artikels te vind in die Vind, kry toegang en gebruik inligtingsgidse; OF vra jou fakulteitsbibliotekaris vir hulp om die beskikbaarheid van items by die US-biblioteke na te gaan, voordat jy 'n interbiblioteekleningsaanvraag doen
  • Nasionale interbiblioteeklenings is gratis, maar vanaf 1 Augustus 2025 kan jy gevra word om vir internasionale aanvrae te betaal. Jy sal per e-pos in kennis gestel word indien dit op jou versoek van toepassing is voor ons die dokument aanvra. Vir kostes, kontakbesonderhede en meer inligting, sien Interbiblioteeklenings.
  • US Biblioteke sal nie boeke aanvra wat in ons versameling is, of aan 'n ander kliënt geleen is of slegs vir gebruik in die biblioteek beskikbaar is nie. Indien kliënte nie kan wag vir die items om beskikbaar te raak nie, is hulle welkom om die boek aan te vra en self die koerierkoste te dek.
  • Gaan na "Pickup location" om die biblioteek te kies waarheen die item gestuur moet word.
  • Jy sal 'n e-pos kry om jou in kennis te stel wanneer die item beskikbaar is.
