SU staff and registered students

The various client categories may borrow and renew items, reserve items on loan to other clients and request material not available in the collections of the SU Library and Information Service.

All staff members and registered students of SU are automatically members with borrowing privileges at all libraries of the SU Library and Information Service.

Borrowing privileges:

  • Undergraduates (Theology):  6 items, 2 weeks
  • Postgraduates (Theology):  15 items, 4 weeks
  • Academic staff (Theology):  30 items, 3 months
  • Off-campus students:  15 items, 2 months
  • Clergyman:  3 items, 2 weeks
  • Non-paying secondary clients:  3 items, 2 weeks
  • Paying clients:  3 items, 2 weeks
  • Alumni:  3 items, 2 weeks
Reference material and bound and current journal titles may be used in the library only.
Short loan items may be borrowed for three hours or overnight – to be returned by 9:00 the next morning.

Commentaries may be borrowed for one day. This privilege is restricted to staff and registered students of the Faculty of Theology.

US personeel en geregistreerde studente

Kliënte kan materiaal uitneem en hernu, materiaal wat reeds aan ander kliënte uitgereik is, bespreek, en materiaal wat nie in die versamelings van die US Biblioteek- en Inligtingsdiens is nie, van ander biblioteke laat aanvra.

Personeel en geregistreerde studente van die Universiteit Stellenbosch is outomaties lede van alle biblioteke van die US Biblioteek-en Inligtingsdiens.

Uitleenvoorregte:

  • Voorgraads (Teologie):  6 items, 2 weke
  • Nagraads (Teologie):  15 items, 4 weke
  • Akademiese personeel (Teologie):  30 items, 3 maande
  • Afkampusstudente:  15 items, 2 maande
  • Geestelike leiers:  3 items, 2 weke
  • Nie-betalende sekondêre kliënte:  3 items, 2 weke
  • Betalende kliënte:  3 items, 2 weke
  • Alumni:  3 items, 2 weke
Naslaanmateriaal, seldsame items, lopende en gebonde tydskriftitels mag slegs in die biblioteek gebruik word.
Reserwemateriaal mag vir tydperke van drie uur, of oornag uitgeneem word - vir terugbesorging voor 9:00 die volgende oggend.
Kommentare mag vir een dag uitgeneem word. Hierdie voorreg is beperk tot dosente en ingeskrewe studente van die Fakulteit Teologie.
